Chinese Kisses is one of the more popular Chinese dating sites around. If you’re seeking a Chinese bride then it’s a good idea to take a look at this site, and see if it’s a site you like the look of.

Chinese Kisses is a popular site for men seeking Chinese mail order brides. But unlike other sites there are also male members from China and other Asian countries. You can register on Chinese Kisses for free, and you only need to take out a subscription if you want to contact the ladies on the site. Subscription fees are similar to other Asian dating sites.

Chinese Kisses Review

I’ve been looking for a Chinese wife for a while now. I started by using Chnlove (now AsiaMe), then moved to China Love Cupid. AsiaMe has a bewildering array of lovely ladies on it. Sadly the site is very expensive if you want to write letters to as many as ladies as possible.

I’m a big fan of China Love Cupid. I’ve not had too much problem with scammers on this site. And the ladies I’ve met in person through this site have all been exceptional ladies.

Having said that, there are some features of Chinese Kisses that I think I would have benefited from in my own particular search.

One thing I like a lot about Chinese Kisses is that the profile’s “priorities in life” section is useful to know what the lady wants out of a relationship (e.g. sex, travelling, sport, family etc.). Too often I’ve met foreign ladies ladies in person, only to realize that we want completely different things out of a relationship. A lot of Chinese ladies are into sport or music, so if you’re not keen on either of these then it can be a big show stopper. It’s not so easy to tell if a lady’s interested in sex – it takes time to gauge this online.

Another good thing is that members can upload many photos into their profile. I love this as a test of how narcissistic the lady is – the more photos the more of a narcissist she could be. Profiles also show if a lady hasn’t had too many contacts – these could be good members to contact since they’ll often be overjoyed to get an email from a man.

One thing to be aware of is that Chinese Kisses doesn’t have nearly as many members as China Love Cupid or Chnlove. This shouldn’t bother you too much if you’re not fussy about which city your chosen lady is from. But if you want to visit a particular city in China then you might be disappointed at the limited number of ladies you’ll find on Chinese Kisses.

I tried Chinese Kisses when I lived in Zhejiang and there just weren’t enough ladies from that province to make it worthwhile paying for a subscription. It would be just about worthwhile to use Chinese Kisses if you’re living in a megacity like Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou. But it’s less worthwhile if you’re in somewhere like Xiamen, Ningbo or Hangzhou.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that data accuracy in profiles is not always great on this site. If you’re interested in a lady on the site then make sure you check her details carefully before flying halfway around the world to meet her in person.

The Chinese Kisses search facility is pretty basic. For example, it’s difficult to search for members with excellent English language skills. To some extent this is mitigated by the fact that there aren’t so many members as Chinese Love Links.

There are also smaller niggles, like the fact that ladies’ heights and weights are only given in metric measurements.

It’s also worth mentioning that sites like China Kisses attract a fair number of scammers. I’d say that it’s best to avoid any Chinese girl on the site who doesn’t have a photo in her profile. Also be wary of newer members. And don’t send money to anyone you meet through the site, especially if you’ve not met them in person. Once you’ve got friendly with a lady then be sure to schedule a webcam session with her, just to make sure she really exists.

Still, Chinese Kisses does have plenty of loyal followers. Winston Wu from Happier Abroad is a big fan of the site, and prefers it to China Love Cupid.

Alternatives to Chinese Kisses

There are a wide selection of Chinese dating sites that you can use to find beautiful Chinese girls to chat to online.

As well as the Chinese dating sites, don’t forget the sites that aren’t just for Chinese ladies. If you’re interested in women from a wider range of countries then it’s worth looking at:

• Asian Kisses

Asian Kisses is actually run by the same company as Chinese Kisses. The two sites are pretty similar in terms of functionality. Cherry Blossoms has a fairly good success rate with men searching for Chinese brides, and the membership fee is very competitive. Asian Dating is good because it is available in a number of different languages.

Finally there’s also DateInAsia. This is actually a 100% free Asian dating site. There are large numbers of Chinese ladies on this site. There are some good ladies, but the site is very basic so you might have to do a lot more searching than you’d expect to have to perform on a membership site like Chinese Kisses. Personally I hate DateInAsia. They keep deleting my profile and I’ve never had a date from the site. That’s really sucky given I was actually living in China or Thailand when I was using the site. BTW I did get plenty of dates from China Love Cupid, WeChat and Thai Cupid, so it’s not just me!!!

Chinese Dating Sites and Apps

I should also briefly mention that there are also loads of Chinese dating sites and apps targeted specifically at the Mainland Chinese dating scene. These sites and apps have way more members than China Love Cupid or Chinese Kisses does, but they’re somewhat harder to use.

WeChat was good for dating but now it’s full of prostitutes and scammers so it’s not a good app for meeting ladies. It’s much better for chatting to ladies you meet on other sites though.

I also gave JiaYuan a go. It has a huge membership base with maybe 1000x as many ladies on it than there are on China Love Cupid. It’s also less than a third of the price (for an annual membership plan). So what’s the catch? The main problem with JiaYuan is that it’s only available in the Chinese language. So unless you can read and write Chinese characters then it’s immensely hard to use it. Other problems include the fact that it’s hard to pay for a subscription unless you have a Mainland Chinese bank account with a bank that supports UnionPay. Finally another issue is that there just aren’t actually that many women on the site who are interested in dating foreigners. So if you’re a foreigner looking for a Chinese bride then it makes more sense to stick to Chinese Kisses or China Love Cupid, even if there is a lot less choice available.

If you have a smartphone (and who doesn’t these days?) then it’s also worth checking out an app called TanTan. Again this is aimed mostly at Mainland Chinese singles, but it does at least have an English version and it’s really easy to install through the Apple and Android app stores. Unless you’re in China then you might want to buy the full version so that you can access the roaming facility that allows you to check out the singles in other parts of the world.

My main issue with TanTan is that it takes ages to swipe through all the single ladies. Also how do you know if the ladies really are single? Many of them are just on there to gauge their sexual market value. It’s a huge timewaster if you’re an average guy. I still prefer dating sites to these stupid dating apps.

So Chinese Kisses is a fairly good Chinese singles site, and an alternative to the ever popular China Love Cupid.

Even nowadays any public display of affection; including holding hands, hugging and kissing are frowned upon very strongly in China. So where, when and how exactly can you kiss a Chinese woman?

Chinese culture simply decrees that people don’t kiss each other and so they conform and basically refrain from kissing. The exception to this readily accepted credence is for married couples within the privacy if their own bed. And of course very young children may be kissed but even then very little physical validation is offered to youngsters.

Just how deeply does being shamed run regarding public affection and kissing? Sadly lots of young Chinese women have committed suicide due to intense feelings of shame if caught kissing publicly. One such young lady took her own life because a neighbor saw her boyfriend kiss her gently on the forehead and then told everyone that she was a bad woman. Sadly the girl was shattered believing she had brought such shame to her family despite having done absolutely nothing wrong at all. It’s best to understand that the cultural pressure on Chinese women to not show any public affection, especially kissing is immense often with heavy consequences for breaking traditional protocol.

Do Chinese Girls Actually Like Kissing?

Yes. Apparently they do but since it is so frowned up to the point of bringing shame to one’s family, many Chinese women do not have much experience with basic affection, let alone the art of kissing. Chinese women are also generally reserved and shy in nature when dating. It often takes a great deal of patience and empathy when starting a relationship with your lovely Chinese lady.

There is every chance that your gorgeous Chinese woman will love to kiss you and be kissed passionately but never in public. Affection and intimacy including kissing, in Chinese culture is primarily reserved for the sanctity of marriage. She may even expect you to delay any form of intimacy with very little, if any affection at all until the wedding. You can suggest that you marry in China instead of upon your return home to the west.

Showing Public Affection & Kissing Your Chinese Girl

If you decide to kiss a Chinese woman keep the following tips in mind so as not to offend and/or cause embarrassment for her, her family or yourself. Keep in mind that Chinese girls are traditionally submissive and shy regards showing affection, especially in public.

If you do want to show affection; try holding hands as many are happy to do this. Still want to kiss your Chinese woman in public or private? It’s always best to ask her how she feels about it. Of course public or private affection assumes you have attained a sufficient level of closeness that would progress as such. Very small, quick affectionate pecks are safest publicly and never pull her head towards yours.
