First off, a disclaimer… Any profile headline you write should fit you and who you are. If you’re not a very funny guy and tend to be more laid back, then choose a laid back headline. Likewise, if you’re a goofball, don’t be afraid to get a little silly. Online dating is about attracting someone who’s going to be attracted to you and who you are, so show some of your personality.

Because so many dating profiles tend to be the same, someone who reveals a little bit more about themselves or is honest about who they are and their philosophy in life can make a big impact. Think about how you feel about life and our place in it and if you have something to say, then say it.

4. Make a list of favorite things.
One of the easiest ways to make a great headline is simply listing off a few of your favorite things. They can be big or small, important or trivial, but it’s the small details about the small things you enjoy that can help tell someone more about who you are and what you’re looking for.

Live music, long weekends, and challenges.

5. Obscure references are the best kinds.
